praise for dreamland
"The Dreamland audio book was a fun listen. The narrator, Kathleen McInerney, was great because she nailed the voices ... Loved it! I am enjoying making my way through this series with Riley. She has come a long way since the first book, making little mistakes and learning as she goes. Although Bodhi is Riley's mentor, they are becoming more of a team now. I think that Riley may be a little sweet on Bodhi, but in an innocent, flirtatious way ... How cool is the whole idea of Dreamweaving that Alyson Noël has created? Oh, and the ghost boy who sends nightmares to people?! Now it may be hard for me to sleep at night! Audio is a nice way to enjoy Dreamlandand I am so glad I had the opportunity to listen to Riley's story." —4 stars, Reading Vacation (Audio Review)
"Good story! I love that each book brings a new element to Riley's world ... Riley's loneliness is heartbreaking. She longs for change. Being forever 12 years old isn't the greatest notion to deal with. Ever and Riley have a beautiful scene in this book, that I think fans will love. Dreamland is a fast adventure, a fun read. Fans of this author will have no trouble enjoying this new story." —Anna's Book Blog (Audio Review)
"This series is really special and I love recommending it to younger readers. It hits on a lot of topics like self-acceptance, the ability to learn from your mistakes, as well as the important concept of maturity... I really can't wait until the next installment." —BookHounds
"I love the Riley/Bodie dynamic. This third book shows more than ever how attached Riley is to her young guide Bodie... This book series is very charming because Riley's delight and enthusiasm are infectious, though she experiences some loneliness and wistfulness, too. It's good to see Riley rising to do things on her own, and while she makes plenty of mistakes, she's always ready and eager to help people. I'm not much of an audiobook listener, but the first-rate narration on this one, combined with a very lovable character made my listening experience truly great. "I have to congratulate Alyson on another amazing book in the RILEY BLOOM SERIES... If you've followed the IMMORTAL SERIES then you're in for a little surprise. I really enjoyed that bit in the novel and I'm hoping for more glimpses... All in all a lovely read and full of lessons that some of us could take to heart but in the end Riley is growing into a mature young lady and I cannot wait to see what WHISPER holds for me." —Bookworms Corner
"Riley is a sassy character, and although her fiery drive gets her in trouble, I think that quality is what totally made this book enjoyable. She's twelve and I really liked how the author portrays her as that age—not older or younger... I also loved, loved the scene between Riley and Ever! It was so darn sweet... and sad. The characters were great throughout... Overall, I would recommend it to readers who have started this series, like sassy and fun characters and a light-quick read!" —LULU The Bookworm
